This service offers security and companionship and a welcome break for a caregiver. Companions will stay with you for a short or long period of time and can prepare home cooked meals.

All clinics are held at our office at 67 Industrial Drive, Almonte. Home visits can be arranged. Rates vary from $22-26 for clinic appointments with an initial visit costing $30. Home visits are $35 plus a mileage fee for out of town residents. (Please note: a $20 fee is charged for missed appointments or same day cancellations).

House cleaners can be referred to clean your home. Home Support screens its workers with criminal reference and personal reference checks.

General home maintenance persons: painters, window cleaners, gardeners, grounds-keepers, snow removers, etc., can be referred to take care of all your home maintenance needs.

Mills Home Support offers a free income tax clinic for seniors and other residents of limited means. The clinics are organized in partnership with the Ottawa Chapter of the Certified General Accountants of Ontario. Individuals who earn less than $25,000 and families who earn less than $30,000 are eligible.

People, partners and caregivers dealing with Parkinson's now have a local meeting place at 67 Industrial Drive in the Board Room on the fourth Monday of every month. Besides meeting new friends, you will have your questions answered while sharing useful coping strategies to deal with the daily challenges of Parkinson's. Our facilitator, Elizabeth Veninga, has extensive community and client support training and welcomes you to upcoming monthly meetings.
Whether you have been diagnosed with Parkinson's or are supporting a friend or loved one, consider joining our group. Meetings are on the fourth Monday evening of the month at 7:00 pm.
